PRESIDENT - H. Stephen Walker

Hello, my name is Steve Walker,I retired as a Lieutenant with the Charleston Police Department on June 10th 2006, where I served since August 1979. My work experience has been in Patrol Division, Night Walking Beat Downtown, Special Enforcement Unit, Housing, Traffic Motorcycle, Criminal Investigation Division as a Crime Scene Technician (a position held for nine years), Assistant Chief of Detectives, Assistant Director of Charleston Regional  Police Academy, Training Commander, Assistant Commander of the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team and Commander of Support Services. I  am currently employed by Tri - State Race Track and Gaming Center as the Director of Security.

I teach various subjects including: Motorcycle Certification, Defensive and Pursuit Driving, Firearms, S. W. A. T.  Sniper, Crime Scene Search and Collection, Crime Scene Photography, Basic Fingerprint Detection and Collection to department members and other law enforcement officers.

I have been a member of Capital City Lodge #74 since 1980 and held the position of Treasurer from 1989 to 2004. Held the office of State Lodge Treasurer from 2000 to 2004, then became the State President in 2004 and re-elected to this position in June 2006. I have a Bachelors of Arts Degree and an Associates Degree from West Virginia State University in Criminal Justice,a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy, 203 session. currently married to Kim and have two wonderful children, Logan, who returned from Hawaii / Afghanistan after being in the Army for three years and now a fireman with the city of Dunbar WV, and Patricia, who is enrolled at West Virginia State University.
