VICE PRESIDENT - Joseph Crawford

I have been an FOP member of St. Albans Lodge #88 for 18 years. I have held several offices within the local lodge. I have been very active in both the State and Local lodges. My current position in the West Virginia State FOP Lodge is Vice President and previously held the position of Chaplain for 6 years. I was elected WV State Chaplain at the State Convention in Wheeling WV in 1998. Prior to that I served as State Trustee for St. Albans Lodge #88 for 4 years. I have had the privilege of meeting and working with many brothers and sisters across the State of West Virginia and the Nation on many different issues. I look forward to serving as your Vice President. My main priority and obligation to the State Lodge is the Legislative Session each year. I have over 11 years of experience on the WV State Board. I look forward to the challenges ahead and serving the State Lodge.

I have been a police officer for 19 years. I began with the Dunbar Police Department in the spring of 1986. I left Dunbar Police Department in the spring of 1987 to go to St. Albans Police Department. I have been with St. Albans Police Department since 1987. My father was a retired Chief of Police from South Charleston Police Department and the Yeager Airport Police Department. He was an active member of Chemical City Lodge in South Charleston till he passed away in April 1998. I have had many great opportunities in my Law Enforcement career which include assignments to the Metro Drug Enforcement Unit, Detective Bureau and Shift Commander in Road Patrol Division. I was promoted to Chief of St. Albans Police Department in July 2006. I am also a team leader for the departments SWAT team. I am a certified Instructor with the State of West Virginia Law Enforcement Training Committee, and I am a Law Enforcement advisor to the West Virginia Regional Response Team. I am also a member of the St. Albans Fire Department as an on call Fire Fighter and Diver. I am a graduate of the 192 Session of the National FBI Academy.

I am married to my beautiful wife Kathy, and I have four wonderful children; Adam, Tiffany, Brittany, and Josie. My favorite hobbies include Golf, Diving, and Jet Skiing.
